Page 73 Continued Sespe 23 may.1963 condor in 1960, intending to continue on this trail to the end of navigation, but heavy damp fog soon obliterated everything, we returned to the pickup truck, picking out a spot where we would brush out a spot to watch for nesting activities on the rock ledge leading down Northward from Whitacre the decent. We met Jack Gains on the road Near Squaw flat, where he was engaged breseeing road grading operations. We agreed with him that the three of us would back into the Hole-in-the-Wall on June 5-6 and 7. We also agreed to meet Jack at his home, the next morning, and providing he had time, he would take us into the Cold Water Canyon the Sespe where condor are supposed to nest.. Back at our camp pan and a discussed the happenings of the bay and retired at dusk as a poor-will called from the brush covered hills to our Eastward. The Fog prevailed until dark.
