Mt. Pico
California Condor, Continued Eben Mcmillan 29 March, 19
food
I drove out North and East of Bakersfield to
the Sheep Country by lunchtime. Four fresh Carcasses
of sheep were seen, but no Condor. It had rained
considerably in this area and already the grass
is pushing up and turning green again. The sheep
seem more contented. Two black dogs had killed
several sheep this morning in one of the flocks
range near highway 65.
Several flocks of 15+ Turkey Buzzards were
passing on northward high above the Sheep Country
to the East of Jamasa.
A small flock (70+8) Mountain Plover were seen
flying across the roadway in front of my car in
the Bitterwater Valley at 7:30 A.M.
