Gymnogyps californianus June 9, 1946 Ventura, Calif. Frank Brundage of Ventura who works sometimes as a county game warden said that he saw some condors in Santa Paula canyon this year. That last year he worked on Mt. Abel but saw more there. That there are many cattle in the Mutun Flats area. June 10, 1946 Hopper Ranch, Calif. I drove from Fillmore to Hopper Ranch. Irene & Ruth Percy were in L.A., selling cattle - they had rounded up a few days before - but D.H. Percy (Doris's father) was there. He said he had not seen any condors there lately. He spends most of his time on the ranch near the ranchhouse. June 11, 1946 Ventura Co., Calif. I visited Cold Top, Orris, & Sentury Dairies to obtain a calf - got one about 4 days old at Orris - a brown & white heifer weighing about 85 lbs. Took it alive to Fillmore & killed it about 5 p.m. by shooting through the head. June 12, 1946 Hopper Canyon, Calif. Drove from Fillmore to Hopper Rim. Saw on the way that the falls in Caldwat Canyon was flowing well - visibility good about 6:30 a.m. but I could spot no condors
