Gymnogyps californianus June 6, 1946 Nr. Whiteacre Pk, Calif. At 3:19 one adult descended above the next, foot, perused briefly by a raven. The adult slighted on the next perch point at 3:20 and stood at edge of c Cliff, preening & looking about. This bird had bulging crop & was apparently some that left about 3:06. If it were not for my presence, perhaps the bird would be per- ch where I am (or nearby) or last evening. The birds have not soared near me today as if curious, yet I believe my presence caused them to leave roost earlier than normal. Breeze faint after 4 p.m. At 4:15, perched adult as before. I left for camp. June 7, 1946 Hopper Canyon, Calif. Left camp about 7:25+ at 7:55 was on the road about ½ mile N. of Old Cabin. From there I saw 5 condors perched in trees on Arundell Ridge. Three were in one tall dead Lc. above the main cliff. Two turkey vultures also perched in this tree - one above the 3 condors & another on same branch (8±' away) or center condor. The lowest condor I saw slight this after circling low over the ridge. About 3 minutes later all these birds were off. I saw 1 condor slight atop Flat Ps. + another 100±' away in a green Ps. I saw one in a green Ps. about ¼ mile saddle to N. from saddle Ps. 8:15, I counted 6 or 7 condors perched or soaring low over Arundell Ridge. Two soared together; one landed on a Coulter
