Gymnogyps californianus December 27, 1947 # Gorman, Calif. ½ mile east of the highway 99). It soared S. about 1 mile & joined another condor ¼± mile west of the highway. The two circled for 3± minutes then bore E. across (1000±' above) 99 again. One disappeared to E. behind a hill, the other return- ed to the circling spot (12:25). Two turkey vultures had circled beneath them. Day very clear with a fair breeze from S & SW. Reason- ably the condors flopped. Temps. about 65°F.
