Gymnogyps californianus January 17, 1947 Berkeley, Calif. We talked of various aspects of life history as related to protection. He seemed very interested and anxious to take action, especially as to closing the Hopper Canyon area and closing the road to that area. I gave him a condor photo (11x14). January 22, 1947 Berkeley, Calif. Crenemiller phoned from S.F. and said he had seen Work's condor film at Stanford last evening. He had been annoyed at the rough way the chick was handled. The locale was kept a great secret, especially as Crenemiller had warned Wiggins (Stanford botany prof who introduced Work) about this. The show was apparently some weekly gathering including townspeople. Crenemiller was stray for the sanctuary and had written Washington a preliminary letter. His idea was to include Whiteacre Peak & to tie in with the Sage Some Refuge, but he had not recommended specific boundaries yet. He believed it may be necessary to get funds from the N.A.S. for a patrol as the Forest Service can't handle this entirely. The area, Crenemiller believes, is
