Gymnogyps californianus July 25, 1946 Hopper Canyon, GliT. Falls appeared not to be running. At 9:20 I saw first (?-long range) turkey multivires soaring. 9:24, one adult condor ap- peared just beyond Rim to W. of me, soared back & forth, then S. into head of Parking Canyon as if to cross the pass there or to slight. Rather large dihedral angle, & this bird had feet down for about 1 minute once. No crop bulge. Breeze became more steady about this time. 9:31, I saw one adult circling 400±' over Spring Canyon Mdw. work- ing up the slope to W.. When 300±' above Rim, it glided N., then circled above N. Rim, then headed in a straight glide to over East Canyon. Here it joined, & chased, another condor at 9:42, then, de- sending, glided to 300±' over Crundell Ridge & was joined by another (9:47). at 9:50, the two circled & rose above Crundell Ridge. 9:48, one adult soared 500±' over Big Meadow - it circled lower & passed 100±' over the bait, then landed in next to highest Near Root Tree at 9:50. At 6:30 I saw 3 seen at once, at least 2 & probably all adults. 9:55, one circled over Spring Mdw. Canyon & rose to 1000±'; then N. & circled over N. Rim to 1500±', then glided S.E. to about over East Canyon, then broke over Spring Mdw. at 800±' at 10:11. The perched adult 100± yds. moved up to highest root tree (Near Root Tree) at 10:10. The 9:31 bird passed at me twice about 1½
