Gymnogyps californianus July 19, 1946 Nr. Fountain Springs, Calif. clerce of corder presence. I incidentally found 3 squirrels dead outside of holes - 2 were untouched but fell apart easily so quite ripe; 1 was 1/3 eaten; stomach was opened but its contents untouched. At 3:37 I saw about 35 turkey vultures in a bunch over S. end of Credow Mtn. I kept up a constant search but saw no more corders there by 4 p.m. Drave then toward Calif. Hot Springs taking the old road on N. side of King Range Pk.. Got a good view of the big conifers around head of Gordon Creek, the suspected roosting area, but saw no corders by 5:30.
