Gymnogyps californianus July 3,1946 Mr.Bryson, Calif. Last Harris' egg was taken about 1900 or before, Walter thought. One was shot from cliff at The Shut - Dan, Walter said. Walter said that a rider on the Santa Margarita Ranch told him that 2 or 3 years ago he saw 6 or 7 on that ranch, & described the white underwings to Harris. Walter is fairly spry & bright for his age, but seems seems poor & has a remodelable house. He seemed very honest & careful in his facts, however, & evidently knows condors well & took an interest in wild life. Harris said he knew of no high waterfalls in this region & had never seen condors drinking but had seen them feeding on cattle. July 7,1946 Mr.Bryson, Calif. Drove to the home of Bert De Tracy about 3 miles W. of Tierra Redonda Mtn. Bert remembered me from letters & my previous visit. He was now not able to get around well because of illness. He said that condors used to meet at Bellilstone Shut - dn on the NW side of the river facing S., & that Tom Harris found a young condor there about 1883. Another supposed nest was at Tierra Redonda Mtn.. The little Burn [illegible] next where Bert got an egg about 1900 was about 200 yds. from the creek & about 16' above the ground, but said, facing S.E. Condor nests in
