July 24 at 4 AM - left camp for walk into cypress grove hit the middle nearly heard a flicker call 20x3 times went down & got him sitting on a limb of dead tree 15 feet from ground. He & evidently a Redtail Shot from top y cypress had a mouse in crop & petrol in stomach. Guadalupe probably as few white feathers found. I lost perfect another sparrow dark gotten at dark top y dead cypress. Kinglets not uncommon 2-3 or 4 come up when called with juncos & linnets. Rockwrens common. Kinglets molting as well as other birds. The Redtail also & Sparrowhawk
