12 May 15 Out in P.M. to Bay shore S.Side Bay Terns 3 BB [illegible] seen in sand at low tide + 3 others seen as coming in at 6.30 on mudflats 1 fine adult called up + shot + one on bay shore shot 1 or 2 Semipalmate [illegible] seen 1 shot single dowitcher seen + shot + 3 others seen at 6.30 4 Knots Seen on bay shore + about 10 Scattering Western Sand peeps 2 or 3 together + four single birds flying North along shore flock of 15 Red ternatures seen on shore + 2 singles, 3 in 1 flock, all taken; 8 & Cal gulls Coming out of Oakland going South to Bay Shore or farther Curlew seen 2 flocks at 5.30 to get up with dunnel calling + Black north
