Nov. 26 Placed Wren (Vipers) in the cage -bird had broken foot. Bird flew into corner. Shrike flew down close - Wren flew across cage - Shrike pounced and proceed with beak hitting near head - Shrike shrewd no fear as dare with mouse while attacking. When flew shrike returned to perch and then flew on to cower in corner. Feet on tail - grasping - well while stood erect! And hit at head bird cries - sweet tune - another peck as bird struggles held by foot of shrike.
