Botanical Specimens collected in South America by A.Douglasse of Harvard College Observatory. Each package or box has one or more numbers pasted upon it. The contents of the packages are as follows: 1. Pressed specimens, Grappler Bay, Smythe's Channel (near western entrance to Straits of Magellan) Collected May 10, 1893. 2. Tin box of dried specimens from Yungas Valley 20 to 80 miles east of La Paz Bolivia. Altitudes 2500 to 15600 feet. 1892 (May contain other specimens in top of box) Small white violets from "Cumbre" of Yungas Road - 15600 ft in altitude. 3, 4, 6. Balsom Bog, hill back of Stanley, East Falkland Island, Collected May 17, 1893 4 & 5. "Tola" TOLA from Charchani, a mountain near Arequipa, 16400 ft altitude. Collected May 21, 1892 Used for fuel in Northern Chile (See Squires trip from Arica to Desaguadero in his book of researches in Peru) 6. See 3 7. Leña del Rey, near Arequipa. Tree 6 to 10 ft high at altitudes 12000 to 14000 ft. Used for fuel. 8. Chuños Blancos. Frozen potatoes, used as food in
