Studab, Mart. w. pasture. 4/4 8 a.m. to 7:20 p.m. on road to hills near San Ramon & return. Saw few pairs Dark Sparrows, Gambel House Finches, Ark. Tan. Goldf. along road, also Jays, Brewers & Redwing Blackbirds. I notice a habit of moles of latter, rising & descending with raised feathers on backs. Pards appear nesting Helped Wheeler get 4 Par. Falc. eggs from rocks & wrote a full description in data book. Saw a few T. Buzzards & expecta to find eggs in some of small caves in the numerous ridges of rocks. Flushed 3 Barn Owls Dingly but found no nests. Marvin took sets here for- merly. Bones of small quad- rupeds at backs of rocks in profusion, bleached by sun.
