in "summer" grass under big tanks.
7/11 took set of 17. The dates show 2 quail laid, Aug 5—
eggs are buff through shelled. 12 slightly bloodshot. 17

R. Hummer. 2 young about fledged.
8ft up on N. side of cypress nr. of towhee
briers, old Bird flew from nest as I rode
by on mule. Left nest.
205) 6/28 C. D. 12 fresh eggs, 1 dented
& 1 buff unspotted. Plenty small feathers
about nest that the dented egg showed
a cat had tackled the hen. 12
