12) 3/31 N. Chip. Spar. last year's nest
on road by garden gate; fallen from one
of pines on either side.
13) 3/31 Same. fallen in flower bed by
Eastern oak w. of big magnolia.
14) 3/31 Eng. Spar. This year. Fallen
from palm by garden gate.
15) 3/31 Annas. Summer. 1894 nest
15 ft. up on twigs of oak back from house.
Beery says he knew it last year. Shriveled
almost to nothing. Birds present.
16) 4/4 Cal. Scratch Owl. 5 fresh
eggs. Bird on nest, containing feathers
of few small birds they'd eaten.
3 boys climbed for it & gave me eggs
for some eastern eggs. (Hamilton)
