11/26 Saw pair Fairdners' woodpock-
ers; pear trees next to astrakhans
in big orchard & lately found an
excavation, hardely deep enough
to be called a nest in a rotten
apple bough that I brought in
for firewood. Yesterday saw
two pigeons flying wildly by the
bull coral; one was cubing & pitch-
ing & let on top of oak by turkey
