It flew about some time with it. The other was seen carrying a stick at least three feet long and having quite a curve in it. This was carried at one end with its talon. This bird flew about thus for five or ten minutes. May-22. Two California Condors seen circling high in the air. Upon seeing me they flew straight off for a half of a mile or so and commenced circling again. I saw a Steller's Jay alight on a window-sill and near it and try for half of an hour to get inside by pecking. It repeated the performance several hours apart.
