30 tailed Pigeons do nest here. Also heard that from March on the Vulture seldom venture away from the deep rocky canvors. Evidently they re- tire to nest. Nov-16. A small bird slightly larg- er than a Song Sparrow was seen tonight at close range. Its back was of a peculiar shade of dark brown. Its breast was whitish with dark spots. It has a peculiar chirp. Do not know what it is but should say it was related to the Sparrows. Nov-18. In regard to the bird men- tioned on Nov-16. I must re- tract or rather alter what I wrote at that time. The breast and underparts seem to be of a brownish color and spotted with white in- stead of vice-versa. The bill
