Nettum carolinense.
Feb. 16, 1911.
Received another female; both are in good feather.
March 12, 1911.
Obtained a pair from State Game Farm. Both
in fine condition.
April 16, 1911.
The drake calls considerably in the
evenings. He seems to stay with his
original companion, female No. 2, while
female No. 1 (Sague) pays very little
attention to him, spending most of
her time in pond.
October 29, 1911.
Sague in fresh plumage now. Primaries
not yet full grown.
