Saw a dozen Black-bellied Plover (Squatarola helvetica) in winter plumage on south side Bay Farm Island to-day. July 11, 1910. San Leandro Bay, Alameda Co., Cal. P.M. Two or three fair-sized flocks of large shore birds seen. Symphenia semipalmata and Numenius hudsonicus taken. - Adults. Had bred. Three or four sandpipers seen. One large gull.
