Alameda to San Francisco, California.
This afternoon went to Golden Gate Park. It was
low tide and in the light near the roundhouse,
there were large numbers of gulls and sandpipers on
the exposed mud and sand.
On the bay saw one Larus philadelphia adult
near the mold. On the San Francisco side there were
a large number of gulls, all of which appeared to
be adult and immature Larus californicus.
Along the mole saw seven Ardea herodias and a
cormorant.
In Stow Lake and other ponds in Golden Gate Park there
were large numbers of Fulica americana. Also saw
one small grebe. All of the ducks seen were in
