Alameda to San Francisco, California.
This morning I saw two or three Nycticorax
nycticorax fishing in the pools left by the tide along
the seawall west of Fifth Street. Near the
roundhouse there were a number of gulls on
the sand.
On May 21 I saw a duck flying over the
marsh along Webster Street, Alameda; it looked
like an Aix sponsa.
