This morning when going to San Francisco
I saw three or four Odenid deglandi on the
water off the mole. One rose slight to flap its
wings thus showing plainly the white markings.
There were quite a number of Numerus
hudsonicus on the sand near the seawall
and along the mole this morning. Also num-
bers of sand pipers. Out near the water's
edge near the roundhouse there was quite a
flock of Larus californicus bunch together
on the sand.

along High St., Alameda, in the rain, I heard
several Symphennia semipalmata (?) passing
over. adult.
I saw an Larus occidentalis off the Ferry Building.
