On the San Francisco side in the afternoon two or three adult Larus occidentalis were observed. On Franklin St., S.F. I saw a young Passer do- esticus, but shortly from the nest, begging its mother to feed it. May 29, 1907. Alameda to and from San Francisco, Cal. Conditions:-- Moderate temperature; NW wind; clear. In the morning I noted only one gull on the broad expanse of mud and sand be- side the mole. In the evening on the San Francisco side I saw one or two each of immature Larus cali for- nicus, and adult Larus occidentalis. May 30, 1907. San Leandro Bay, Alameda Co., Cal. Conditions:-- Warm; NW wind sprung up about 7:00 A.M. and increasing; overcast most of morn- ing. Forenoon. Low tide Birds were very scarce. None seen in Da- mou's Slough. A number on the mud flats of the Bay proper and of San Leandro Slough. S.F.
