Alameda, bal.
Conditions: - Moderate temperature; brisk westerly
wind; clear.
The young Passer domesticus in the nest in the
rose bush at the back of the house were found
death this morning. They were a good size
but unfeathered.
An Aphelocoma californica was noted
flying to-day.
May 20, 1907.
Alameda to and from San Francisco, bal.
Conditions: - Moderate temperature; brisk westerly wind;
clear.
In the morning no birds were noted; I rode
inside the steamer.
In the evening I rode on the after part of the
steamer; a very few Larus californicus, (all
showing signs of immaturity) were seen. None,
however, following the steamers.
