In the evening a few Larus philadel- phia were seen off the Ferry Bldg, and also quite a number of Larus californi- cus, all immature. The former species seemed to be mostly white-headed individuals. May 12, 1907. May 13, 1907. Alameda, bal. The Passer domesticus nest in the back yard contained naked young two or three days old. May 14, 1907. Alameda to and from San Francisco, bal. Conditions: - Warm; westerly wind; clear: Immature Larus californicus and Larus philadelphia were about the only gulls seen. A flock of thirty or forty curlew passed over high in the air, going north and calling con- tinually. Several ducks lower down were noted going in the same direction. May 15, 1907.
