When about off Goat Island this evening I noted
six scoters flying NW close to the water, A few minutes later several Scamp ducks were noted going
in the same direction but quite high in the air.

Quite a few ducks were noted along the mole in
the evening.

Alameda to and from San Francisco, Cal.
Conditions: - Warm; light wind; clear.
Last evening I noted three flocks of ducks going
north not very high in the air; two were of
about twenty-five or thirty individuals, the other
of about fifteen. This morning I noted a flock
of about a hundred bunched together on the
water in the light near the roundhouse.
There were also occasional scoters scattered
all along the mole. This evening none were
noted:
A good many shore birds (snipe and sand
pipers) were noted on the exposed sand near
