In the evening Larus californicus & Larus delawarensis were common. I counted 10 Ardea herodias beside the mole. OCT 22 1904 Alameda, bal. to San Francisco, bal. 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 A.M. Conditions:- Clear; warm; light wind. I saw a good many grebes & ducks along the seawall and mole. On the bay Larus californicus, & L. delawarensis were common. Larus californicus was in the majority. I saw a few Fulica americana. A few ducks passed to the south. OCT 23 1904 At home Paser domesticus was common. I saw one Balypte anna in the morning on a peach tree. It was quite foggy in the morning, clearing in the afternoon. OCT 24 1904 Alameda, bal. to San Francisco, bal. 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 A.M.
