90. San Leandro Bay, Alameda co., Cal. Conditions:- 7:00 to 11:00 A.M. Warm; clear; north wind, in- creasing towards noon. Rough from 9:30 on. The following birds were observed:- Gull. A few. Larus delawarensis. Two. Sterna forsteri. Common. Ducks. About eight going Southeast. Fulica americana. Three flocks of about two each on the bay. Quite easy to approach. Ardea herodias. A few. Nycticorax nycticorax. A few. Phalaropus lobatus. One on water. Macrochamphus scolopaceus. One. Totanus melanoleucus. One. Limosa fedoa. Abundant. Symphenia semipalmata. Abundant. Crenmeter occidentalis. Abundant. Actodromas minutilla. Common. Squatarola squatarola. " A few with black bellies. Tymnenius longirostris. About twelve in Damon's slough. " hudsonicus. One in Melrose slough. Hawks. Two. One at foot of street. Hirundo erythrogaster. Two in Damon's slough. At home later in the day:- Passer domesticus. Abundant. Carpodacue mexicanus. Common. Warblers.
