Alameda to San Francisco, Cal.
Conditions: - 7:00 to 8:00 A.M. Very warm; hazy; west wind.
On the bay I saw a few Larus occidentalis, a good
many Larus californicus and a few Rissa tridactyla (?). This last I have seen for the last few days but
took it for Larus californicus until I got a very close
look. A good many gulls followed in the wake of the
boat.
A Phalacrocorax passed us off Goat Island; it flew
quite low along the water.
I noted a flock of about 30 ducks high up in the air.
They were going SE.

anything thrown overboard.
