I saw one Hirundo erythrogaster this evening about 7:15,
flying quite low over the neighboring yards. There was a
light west wind blowing, It was clear and cool.

7:00 A.M. to 8:00 A.M.
conditions: Overcast; warm; light west wind; tide
flooding.
Passer domesticus occurred quite commonly through the
town. Along the seawall I saw some gulls; they were
too far off to distinguish the species. In the vegetable
gardens I saw a flock of about twenty Euphagus cyan-
cephalus. Along the mole I saw about fifty gulls, Lar-
sus occidentalis predominating, some few Larus heermanni.
On the northern side of Oakland creek there was a
large flock of gulls. On the bay I saw a few Larus occiden-
talis and Larus heermanni.

conditions: - clear; warm; light breeze; tide flooding.
Off Goat Island, I saw two or three Uria atra on the
water. There were a great many flying, the majority go-
ing eastward, a few oceanward. I saw a few Larus oc-
cidentalis flying, one on the light at the mole, a flock
north of Oakland creek, and two good sized flocks near
the roundhouse.
