Thrasher, 2 Hermit Thr., 1 Varied Thrush (under acacias), 1 Robin, 1 R-c Kinglet, 1 Siskin, 2 Sp. Tow., 4 Br. Tow., 1 4. Sp. (top), Feb. 18. Heavy frost. Wanner p.m. Walked to Marin House 3:30-4 Heard explosive whistle of Anna H. before I reached his perch, nine times; later as I left I heard another series, both times on hill opposite his perch. 1 Cal. Jay, 1 fl. Bush-tits, 4 Wren-tits (1 fr. any of & then B'), 1 Vigor Wren, 2 H. Thrushes. A flock of Robins eating cotoneaster berries at Hitchinsson wire fence and perching in Mont. pines, Notes of many Varied Thrushes at bottom of Hamilton Canyon. A flock of Siskins in the pines, singing. Watch winding note heard once. 1 Sp. Tow. whioper song, with robins. 3 Br. Tow., fl. juncoes in the pines, one picking up food from pavement Moswood Rd. 3 Song Sparrows singing. Each evening since Feb. 7. I have noticed a Song Sp. slipping into the Engerian at the front door of W.F.C. at 5:30 p.m. Fright a pair was on the lawn. Feb. 12. East wind - Warm. Walk to Marin House. Birds in Str. Canyon (Moswood Rd. & mouth of Canyon) increasing - 1 Hutton Vireos (upper Moswood) singing; flock of Bush-Tits, flock of Siskins. (Cotoneaster berries gone, no robins) In H. Canyon. Anna H. Towering; Calif. Jay (1 running) Vigor Wren 2 (129.), Wren-tit 5 pros, many songs; Calif.
