R.c. Kinglet at pool. A pair of flickers on rails
above the pool; one backed down probing for
insects - Titmouse H. Thrush singing. Toward
noon seven species at pool. Lot saw
Redtails soaring over 72 Panoramic.
Oct. 26. St. Hamed (Bulb) calling at night -
3 Hermit Thrushes, R.c. and Y.c. Kingletos,
Bush-tits, B.r. Towhee, Sp. Towhee, Song sp. at pool -
2 Flickers on rails above pool. Lois put out
Coloraster berries and crab apples for
birds. Campus p.m. Nuttall Sparrow,
R.c. Kinglet singing, Hutton Vireo calling -
Hawks (Cooper or S.h.-Sh.) flew in from
west of campus to Agriculture Pddy.
Many cat moths on windows at night -
Oct. 27. Great Owl heard. W.W. Men at pool
early. Fox Sparrow eating crab apples
on feeding branch - Hermit Thrush
heard singing - also chasing other
birds at pool. Birds still very abundant.
Oct. 28. Everything at pool at noon: Bush-tits, R.c. King,
Town Warbler, Her. Thrush, etc.
(Oct. 29 - Sunday). W.W. Men at pool, Y.c. Kinglet at pool,
Brush-tits, Hthr. Thrush, B.r. King, Town W. Flicker.
(Oct. 30. 4 R.c.) Singing in oak overhanging W.W. porch
Ruby (?) King, Shed Thri Flicker, Brown sp.
(Oct. 31. Cloudy, very wet after night of rain.
Hthr. Thrush, R.c. Kinglet, Jays, Flicker,
Dead V. Men on front porch at noon.
