A pair of flickers on rails above the pool; one backed down probing for insects - Titmouse H. Thrush singing. Toward noon seven species at pool. Lot saw Redtails soaring over 72 Panoramic. Oct. 26. St. Hamed (Bulb) calling at night - 3 Hermit Thrushes, R.c. and Y.c. Kingletos, Bush-tits, B.r. Towhee, Sp. Towhee, Song sp. at pool - 2 Flickers on rails above pool. Lois put out Coloraster berries and crab apples for birds. Campus p.m. Nuttall Sparrow, R.c. Kinglet singing, Hutton Vireo calling - Hawks (Cooper or S.h.-Sh.) flew in from west of campus to Agriculture Pddy. Many cat moths on windows at night - Oct. 27. Great Owl heard. W.W. Men at pool early. Fox Sparrow eating crab apples on feeding branch - Hermit Thrush heard singing - also chasing other birds at pool. Birds still very abundant. Oct. 28.
