(Oct-12. Hamilton Canyon (soulin) Spotted Towhee
Siskin (large flock), Linnet, Purple Finch,
G.C. Sparrow, White-crowned (Birchstens?)
Calif. Jay, Wrentit, Vigor's Warbler, Goldfincher,
Hutton Vireo.
Oct. 13. At pool: (Stairs Wash & Oregon)
2 Wren-Tits, 6-8 Townsend Warblers,
6 Ruby-crowned Kinglets (one viewed west),
[illegible] Golden-crowned Kinglets - when
they lifted their crests the center was
brilliant gold - fruit twir I have
ever seen them at the bath -
1 Hutton Vireo, 15-20 Bushtits, no
thrushes, 2 Song Sparrows, one with
broken wing, Junco, 5 Spotted Towhee,
drunk by running its tongue along
leaf. (Mrs. Carlen described both
flicker and Calif. Woodpecker (yellow
m throat.) Flicker at tip of redwood
tree at 29 Morewood Rd. For four pre-
ceding nights, Horned Curls answering
each other. Long Oct. 11 - Serech Clift -
Oct. 13. pm. At Aquatic Park: 157 American
Egrets, many Bonaparte Gulls, a pair Foster
Terns - Did not find Jaeger (seen by Hope
Gladding last week)
Oct. 14. 12 grown quail in Morewood Rd.
above the house. Golden-crowned Kinglets
and Townsend Warblers at the pool.
Oct. 15. Spotted Towhee, Song Sparrow, flock
of Bushtits Hermit Thrush, Townsend
Warblers at pool - Br. Towhee heard often seldom seen
