The Sp. Turbee came back to the pool and
took another splash. At last the Br.T. has
met his match. He dominated even over
Cal. Jays all last summer. Full moon
Mar. 10. Still warm, sunny. Daffodils in
bloom. Creepers singing often. Cooler night.
Mar. 11- High jog until 10 a.m., then clear, warm.
Started home at 2 p.m. - Cold all the way
until we reached Walland. Stopped at
Alvarado Pools. Very many birds: Ducks-
[illegible] Shovellers. Saw a few Pintails and Bald-
pates. Many Gulls in distance. Bb. Plower,
Red b., W. Least Sandpipers. Probably
many more but light difficult.
Mar. 17 Berkeley - Cold north wind for several days.
Mar. 18. Warm again. Returned to Boulder Creek,
Alvarado Pools: Coots very few. Bluebills >,
Shovellers>; a few Pintails, Bald Pales;
Yellowlegs (lesser-smaller than Willets) 3;
Gulls (Sp?), Bb. Plower, Water decreased.
Dumbarton Bridge, Tide very low. 11:30 a.m.
Bluebills > Shovellers>, many ducks flying.
Willets; Avocets at in area where they nest
Weeks bright cinnamonom, Zared Trebes 300t
At the bridge there was out and many short birds
were feeding. No stop to identify them. Many
W. Trebes on water. West end. 1 Db. Curlew
A few Bb. Plower (molting), Willets, Sandpipers.
Mar. 19. Boulder Cr. No winter flocks.
