Dec. 8. Strong wind all night over most of state. (Rain?)
Continued through day.
Dec. 9. Still windy. Chilly.
Dec. 10. Less windy. Birds are coming for food as well
as water.
Dec. 12. Warmer. No wind - Sunshine. Many Fox Sp.,
Sp. Tashers come for food. N. Th. for water. Bush-
tits in large flocks. Occ. Song Sparrow.
Dec. 14. From the N.W. porch I could hear gyrfal (calling
in the bottom of the Canyon. (Canyon Rd?)
Dec. 16. J.T.L. heard a Varied Thrush whistling across M.Rd.
Dec. 17-24 Fox Sp. Sp. Tow. at table (apple, oatmeal) The Song
Sparrow flew to Little where was sweeping pool. Light rain?
Dec. 25. Still no frost. A little rain.
Dec. 26. One night during the past week a Screech
Owl called frequently - very musical tremolo.
At times a continuous trill, at times single note
followed by trills.

Dec. 28. A real rain. Varied Thrush north of house.
