Alongway Bonaparte Gulls following Tractors.
Yellow Warblers heard. Went to New Almaden,
Hacker Pass, Waterville. Wild flowers ab.
Many Buzzards seen.
Apr.27, Boulder Creek. Grosbeak, Olive-sided Flycatcher,
Montgolfier Thrush, Yellow Warbler, Wood Pewee
had come in since Apr. 20. Bush tit's nest
looked finished.(Never used. Not entrance hole.)
Mt. View Marsh - birds very ab. Blr. Plover, Semi-
palmetted Clover, Hudsonian Curlew, Willet (very)
Dowitchers(ab7), Redb. Sand. (full pl. ab.), W. Sand. at.
Godwits ab. Foster Terms ab. (full pl.)
Drumbar ton Bridge, W. Grebes (4), 1 female Puddyduck,
Red backed & W. Sandpipers very ab., N. Phalaropes ab.
Bluebills (a few), 1 Avocet, Slipp. Sw. ab.
Mt. Eden - Avocets, Dowitchers & Sandpipers.
Bon. Gulls-
Waders were abundant not only where we see
their in winter but in small pools, in wet
marshy growth, in pools east of the Coyote
Hills etc. etc.
May 1. Russet-backed Thrush still whistles - Head near
Faculty Club. No songs. Ramump
May2. A female Tchirine Warbler searched all
the shrubs in front of the dining room
window. Showed very little yellow. Ramung
