Oct.10. The Thrasher sang at 6;30 just outside
my window. At 8 a.m., a Ruby-crowned
Kitelet was calling and a little later
a Fox Sparrow was singing, Many
C. S. Whitecrows and G-C. Sp. singing in
the distance. Oct. 11. Saw 11 Wood Ducks on S.P. Reservoir.
Oct. 12. Heard G-c Kitelets 'Summer day-
Oct. 13. Birds very abundant - Hermit Thrushes
calling repeatedly. Lois brought in one yes-
terday which had been killed by flying into
the window. Fox Sparrows, juncos, Corned
Sparrows, And. Warblers, R-c Kitelets.
(Heard with Coast Jay and Calif. Jay singing both voice)
Oct. 14. Cloudy, Threatening. I went with Mrs. Hault
and her sister to San Pablo Reservoir to see
the Wood Ducks. In the end we found
three but the color did not show under
such a cloudy sky. We found a gate un-
locked and walked down nearer the,
edge of the water but they were very wild
and flew through a group of pintails
remarked. Just east of the end of the
reservoir we found a large aggregation
of birds on both sides of the road :.
Quail, Flickers, Calif. Woodpeckers, Sluder-billed
Willet, two Titicucos, House Wren, And. Warblers,
Sparrows from Farther
C. Goldfinches, Linnets, Puget-S. Whitecrows,
During the morning we saw four Cooper Hawks,
two Marsh Harls, a Redtail + a Sparrow Hawk.
There were many coots and pintails and some
boldpalo, and several Least Pied bill Grebes-
