Pipits.
Bonaparte Gulls - not so many as on Nov. 14 but still ab.
On the large pool to the north many Puddy Ducks,
a few Cormorants. At the island more Dard-
pipers (Ps backst & L.) also Sanderling (6) in a bunch
one in: Golden-eye
One Bluebill, About 20 Eared Grebes, W. Gulls,
come in. Glanceous-wings, more Bonapartes and
one Forster Term. Several flocks of Sandpipers
flaw over the pools, one of them very large.
Weather still warm - Indian Summer -
As we left we noticed a Pipit flying against the
shining metals of our automobile wheel where
he could see his image. He did it repeatedly -
Nov. 18. Still warm, clear,
Dumbarton Bridge (buried):
Eared Grebes 400t, (1 albino (very close to road)).
Bonaparte Gulls still ab. but only 1/3 of last week.
Yellowlegs - 2 at W. end of bridge.

{Avocets 50t - much reduced } buried together.
Pipits decreasing but still ab.
Sandpipers - not many seen.
Mt. View Marsh. Tide out too far. Mud all exposed,
Birds scattered and largest numbers far
from highway. Near the highway Bob Flower
were present in largest numbers. Long-tailed Curlew
more numerous than Hudsonian, Willets de-
creasing but still ab. 4 Godwits 6; Dovetiters few;
Red-backed Sandpipers abundant - Western ab.
(first time this fall), Least decreasing -
