went to Crida and San Pablo Reservoir.
5 saw fewer birds than on Feb. 28 because rain.
St. Blue Heron, Fallowe Cor., Ring-necked Ducks, 3 S. Hawks,
2 prs. Redtails +1; Nuttall Woodpecker Flickers (ab.)
Calif. jays (ab.); Titmouse (singing); Wrens (singing);
Robins, R.C. Warbler, And Warblers & Meadow Larks, Linnet,
Sb. Goldfinch, Spotted & Brown Thrasher, Junco, Huetlet
(or Pie-gut Sd Sparrows, Golden-crowned Sps. Song Sps. (singing).
March 9 - Clearing.
March 10 - Partly Cloudy. A pair of Vigoris Wrens investigated
March 11. Rain at night. Cloudy day. Floods of Siskiyou
March 12. Raining steadily. Purple Finches
singing; also Thrashers, Wrentits, Song Sps., Titmouse
March 13. I heard a Lutetient Warbler in the
distances beyond the end of Mosswood Rd.
Still raining. The Vigoris Wren was the first
bird heard this morning.
About 10:30 a.m. I went out for a walk
between showers. Before 11:30 there was a
heavy downpour with hail. I walked
to Hamilton Canyon as far as the Mann house
and back. The sun was shining and many
birds were singing but I heard no summer
visitors, Purple Finches were singing
every where, especially where their were
