71 Shrike - 2; W. Vireo quite abt., Lutescens, Yellow, Paleoldd Warblers ab. Yellowthroat in Alberca Marsh- Redwings on road to St. Reyes Mts. (Mrs. Mcd reported Bicolored). Widowbirds, Brewer Blackbirds, Eng. Sparrow, Black-headed Grosbeaks, Lapuli Buntinge, Purple Finches, Linnets, Willow Goldfinch (Saw 2 PTP- Green-backed Goldfinch, Pine Grosbein, Brown Towhee (not ab.), Spotted Towhee, - all ab. in suitable Ter. Saranap- Sp. on road b St. Reyes (Ferguson Sanders) Junco (Mead), Chipping Sparrow (Lagunitas), White-throated Sparrow (near coast), - at St. Reyes sung like junctensis. Song Sparrow (San. Marin) 78 species. Thirteen Species seen Apr. 11, 1934 were not seen this time (many of them at Sear Pt.); Many summer visitors seen this time not seen in '34. May 9. Chilly. Young ternice quite noisy. May 10. Tolmie Warbler singing near house. May 11. Went to Boulder via Dimberston Bridge. Immenseable N. Phalaropes and Sandpipers, Latter on road bed - Heard St. Thrylin in Mabila May 12. Boulder Creek - High fog until about 18:30 Then warm. Heard Tanager. May 13. Faculty Section went to Saranap & Alamo. Fog all day in Berkeley. Cool breeze, warm sun in Contra Costa. Soon after we left the Walnut Creek Road we found a W. Mockingbird, singing, in the top of a large live oak in a garden. Sang all his variations. At Saranap we found no Lapuli Buntinge or Chiricles. Linnets were too abundant.
