1922. May 28. Went to beach and Golden Gate Park with James & Janie. Pleasant day. Many baby Mallards in park - assorted sizes Robins in sheep pasture. May 29. Walked in hills after supper. Thrush sang beautifully at end of Monwood Road. Thrushes nesting in broken wall. Meadow Larks sang until dark. May 30. Went to Cemetery. Cassin Vireo singing near Country Club. Heard 2 Chipping Sparrows and Robins. June 3. Walked up canyon. Many Thrushes singing. Other birds abundant. 4 Walked up canyon. 5. Went to Golden Gate Park with James & Ada. Several Robins seen, one feeding spotted young. 9.F. Thrush sang like Turquoise. June 8. Bank-tits in flocks-20-25. Olive sided Flycatchers (pair) near Greek Theater Ramd at night. June 9. N. Flycatcher feeding young in nest under N. porch. June 10. Cloudy, cool. June 11. Cloudy, cool. Swain whistling on guard near garden. June 13. Cloudy. Cold.
