Took trip to Balboa with Mrs. Anthony and Mrs. Schweider. Saw: Clear. cool. Glaucous-winged Gull, Western Gull, Bonaparte Gull, Forster's Tern, St. Blue Heron, White Pelican, Egret (min. 9.), Coot, Avocets, Spotted Sandpiper, Sandpipers (flock), Long- tailed Curlew, Hudsonian Curlew, Semi- palmated Plover, Mourning Dove, Turkey Vulture, Costa Hummer, Arkansas Knightbird (west), Black Phoebe, Horned Lark, Red-w. Blackbird, W. Meadow Lark, Bullock Oriole, Brewer Blackbird, House Finch, Belding Marsh Sparrow, W. Lark Sparrow, San Diego Song Sparrow, Calif. Towhee, Black-hd.
