Apr. 5. North wind. Warmer in afternoon.
Apr. 6. Claremont Hotel & Canyon. Beautiful day.
Found nothing unusual - Pipits, etc. Sparrow seen.
Mrs. Edwin Mead reports that she had moved
a humming bird's nest (disturbed by painters).
Contained two young partly feathered and
stretching their wings. She put the nest into
a different bush and shelters it under
a piece of corrugated paper. The mother
continued feeding them.

Apr. 8. Clear. Chilly north wind.

Apr. 11. Vigor's Norn investigated nesting box near
runing (Did not occupy it.)
Apr. 12. White-throats Sparrow moulting-very
ragged about head and breast
Brown Turkey 51980 - new tail feathers about
1/4 grown.
April 13. Went to Golden Gate Park. Saw Bird-tailed Grouse
Rared Grouse, Mallard Duck (8 young), Ruddy Duck
Quail, Red-shafted Flicker, Allen's Hummingbird, Brewer
Blackbird, Cal. Purple Finch, House Finch, Pink-sided
Sparrow, Yellow-breasted Chat, Myrtle Warbler, Pac. Yellowthroat,
Oleander Warbler, Vigor's Norn, Plain Titmouse, Bud-tit
