Nov. 26. 1921. Berkeley.
Thrasher caught under a bush. As I turned
To get something to throw, it went after
the thrasher. I threw, the hawks went
under the bushes into the woods. The
thrasher escaped up the hill. I fol-
lowed the hawks but lost sight of
it. When I returned, it was on
the ground in the same place
hunting about. On examination
I found several small feathers
from the thrasher on the ground between
the feeding table and the bush and under
the bush. (Slicker found many yrs. later
under platform)
Rained bad in the afternoon -
Nov. 27. Heavy rain-
Nov. 28. Clear- beautiful. Light north mid.
Nov. 29. Cloudy and rain. Flickers came for
water.
Nov. 30. Dense fog.
Dec. 1. Rain till late p.m.
Dec. 2. Clear. North wind. High wind at
night. James put on plastic coat
with prospect of wearing it 3 yrs.
Dec. 3. Clear. Warmer. High wind at night.
Dec. 4. Cleara. warm. No birds on table.
Mr. Nutts oven still about.
