of hotel.
July 19. On trail up Rattlesnake Cr. found Red-
breasted Sapsuckers and nest with young
Calling. Nest in hole in live aspen tree.
Parent went in, turned, came out. Tightguy.
Townsend Solitaire with nest +2 eggs
Nest on rocky shelf overhanging Rattlesnake
Cr. about 3 ft. above water.
Ruby-crowned Kinglet feeding fledglings. Also Red-b.
Nut-hatch.
July 20. Sparrow Hawk. Townsend Solitaire
nest. 3 eggs - James went to Sterling
Lacis Signal Peak. Heard Sierra
Hermits. Thrush & Clark Nutcracker
Mrs. Young & daughter reported Grouse
w young on Signal Peak.
July 21. Went up to hotel about 8:30 A.M. Many
warbling Vireos in flocks along rivers.
