June 19. James saw Flicker fly into and out of
nesting box occupied earlier by Sereech only.
June 20. Warm, 21. warm. Saw two
Sereech Dirls at dusk one on electric wire,
one on pole in Mosswood Road. Heard low
calls. Mrens still feeding little bird in box.
Join Parker watches them about an hour.
June 22. Warm. James saw Barn Girl on roof
of house on Bancroft Way at 3 P.M. being
attacked by jays. Tormented till sunset, Miss
Hilgard told me.
June 23. Culls on day, mostly Western in full
plumage. One Heermans. Warm.
June 27. Mren left nest in box. Nest begun Apr. 26.
Box opened by boy May 18.- 4 eggs-
July 8. Went to Cics on camping trip.
Arrived about 6 P.M. ns accommodations
at hotel as has our damage taken
after supper to a pleasant camping
spot near a spring and a little way
