June 1916 June 3. 2 Neerman Gulls on bay. Heads white. June 5. Flock of twelve or fourteen birds. It's came to fountain. Saw family of titmice near swimming pool. June 6. Took ladies thru' Institution grounds, out to hills back and over above Mrs. Coolidge to Sanythe Canyon, then to Mrs. Ruckel's to lunch. Saw or heard twenty five species. Found Parkman mom feeding young in nest in ventilator of brick building - 20 ft. or more up. Another feeding young in bushes. Heard one Chipping Sparrow. Saw and heard junces singing. Warm. June 7. Thrushes competing in song. June 8. Dolnic Warbler singing again at end of Mosswood Road. Thrush pulling at string near fountain. Cool. Fog most of day. June 16. Flickers calling constantly at end of road. Young Dolnic Warbler flies into brush near me at dusk
