June 1916. May 24. Parkman Vireo at Senior Hall and at Mrs. Elliott's feeding young. Jays feeding fully grown young near museum. May 27. Met children for last time this spring. Found Flickers nest in oak tree - hollow limb at end of Mosswood Road. May 30. Bird walk followed by lunch at house. Saw Dolnic Warbler at end of Mosswood Road. May 31. Hutton Vireo calls constantly near Miss O'Connor's Cottage. Watched Dolnic Warblers at end of road. Feeding young (out of nest) June 1. Western Flycatcher under dairy bridge has built a second nest and has four eggs. Swallows still building on end of dairy. One nest nearly complete. Another with bottom begun - one birds sits inside while the other brings mud. June 2. Olive-sided Flycatcher calling again across canyon. Flickers feeding young.
